Sound baths in Sanderstead
Unwind and reset at a deeply restorative sound bath, held once a month on a Monday evening at Sanderstead Methodist Church. Designed for complete beginners and seasoned relaxation seekers alike, this immersive experience invites you to simply lie back, let go, and be gently enveloped by the soothing, meditative tones of gongs, singing bowls, and other therapeutic instruments. It’s the perfect way to release stress, rebalance your mind and body, and step into the week ahead feeling calm, centred, and renewed.
Key information
Doors open 15 minutes before the session, giving you time to settle into your space—please bring a mat to lie on, along with a cushion and blanket for comfort—and enjoy a calming herbal tea. To preserve the safety and peaceful atmosphere, the studio doors are locked just before the sound bath begins, so late arrivals cannot be admitted.
Each sound bath lasts for one hour, gently guiding you into a state of deep relaxation. The session begins with a calming guided meditation to help you settle and unwind, before flowing into an immersive sound journey with gongs, singing bowls, chimes, and other therapeutic instruments. There is nothing you need to do—simply lie back, get comfortable, and allow yourself this time to rest as you are enveloped in the soothing vibrations. As the session comes to a close, you’ll be left feeling deeply restored, balanced, and renewed.

The 403 bus (Croydon – Warlingham) stops outside the Church. The car park has space for 25 cars, with room for overflow parking nearby.
